The upgrade kit has the following features:
1. Prevents the mic boom from swivelling in the horizontal plane
2. Adds strength to the audio plug stop it getting bent when then the attachment is not properly aligned with the audio socket
3. Optional magnetic socket to stop plug being disconnected accidentally
 
Kit includes new attachment and the metal cap
 
Black cap is steel and it includes the magnet
